Factual Friday

Today is the 135th day of 2009. There are 230 days remaining in the year.

On this date in 1963, Astronaut L. Gordon Cooper blasted off aboard Faith 7 on the final mission of the Project Mercury space program.

Hmmm. Not very interesting is it? That's the best I could come up with. I may have to name this post Factual Failure Friday. Make sure to check back next Friday to probably not find anything like this EVER again! Hey I'm tryin' here.

GAH, WOLFE! Too much nonsense goin' on... I think "Factual Friday" will leave you with few comments (just my brutally honest opinion).

Have a shnazzy weekend! I know I... won't.

P.S. I'm still mad about you not answering my TMI question honestly.

OOH I got one!

Plane Crazy, Walt Disney's first silent short to feature Mickey & Minnie Mouse, premieres as a sneak preview at a theatre on Sunset
Boulevard in Los Angeles, California. The film, a parody of the Charles Lindbergh craze, has cost $1,772 to make. Plane Crazy also features the very first appearance of Clarabelle Cow. It is co-directed by Walt Disney and Ub Iwerks. Iwerks is also given credit as the main animator, although he is assisted by Hugh Harman and Rudolf Ising. This is the last Disney project Harman and Ising worked on as they have jumped to a new studio formed by Charles Mintz. (The two will later leave Mintz's studio and go on to start Warner Bros. and Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer animation studios!) Sound will
later be added to Plane Crazy when it is re-released in March 1929.

I used to be obsessed with Charles Lindbergh... no lie. I ended up reading a GREAT biography about him.

I also read Howard Hughes' bio which I adored.

Sigh... I had a pilot thing goin' on for quite a while.

A NEW pic Zetz! VERY nice!

As always, I do appreciate your brutal brutality, although it's a wee bit painful. Better to be hurt w/the truth than w/a lie I always say. Eff that- lie to me baby!

Stop beatin' your bloody fists! I don't have insurance to cover you. I'll address it- check back.

You have a shupper shnazzy weekend yo' bad self!

VERY nice DB! THANKS for the save. VERY interesting comment. I'll need you to start posting Factual Fridays for me. I hope you work CHEAP- VERY cheap!

MUCH better job than I could have done.

VERY interesting Zetz, but where da facts?! Then again it's Saturday now so I guess it doesn't matter. If you read the Lindbergh book, you're aware the kidnapping trial took place in Somerset Co., about 20 minutes from me.

Yeah, this FF bit may go the way of the phone booth. Perhaps it will reappear if I can find an actual exciting fact for that day...or not.

Wolfe, I enjoyed your Factual Friday vary much. Much more than "wacky wednesdays" which are only fun if you experienced something wacky. Factual Friday are great because anything goes.

Just a tip, it would be cool if some how Factual Fridays were both entertaining and Factual, like "The average human dream lasts 2-3 seconds."

DB my friend, you make too much sense! I'm trying to relate the facts to the date. If I can find something good/funny/interesting I'll post it. We'll see how it goes & goes, & goes, & goes....

;^)

Wait, what do you mean by "WE"? Who are THEY? should I be worried? What about YOU?

OH NO, it's Monday!!!!!!!!

C. Louis Wolfe said...

Wait a dag-gone minute DB! I didn't mean to indicate that YOU personally were cheap! I was just tryin' to give you a head's up on your yearly bonus! ;-o

PS- Do you ever sleep?!

I was beginning to think that you lost you sweet tooth. It is wrapped in cellophane (sp?) so I have a feeling it's still ok. There's port aging also.

"We" is code for me, of course. silly man.

Thomas Phillip said...

not cheap? them why did you chose a winking emoticon with it's mouth open?!

C. Louis Wolfe said...

Not only is the port aging Tia, I am as well!
