Dear Blog.......

I'm presuming ( I don't like ASSuming because of the saying) that most, if not all the people reading my blog have blogs of their own as part of the cult community that is Blogger.

I was thinking about the reasons why I do this. One of the main reasons being the financial reward! The other is I tend to be lazy, but I enjoy writing and blogging is for the most part easy and it appeals to my need for instant gratification. I also like to humor and entertain the masses which I'm not so sure I'm successful at.

As strange as it may sound, by blogging I kinda feel like this is a place I can come (& sorta) feel like I belong and am a part of something. Of course I've been known to be delusional from time to time. This is like my cyber-bar where I'm usually, OK sometimes, sober and nobody really knows my name. Kinda the antithesis of cheers!

So why do you blog? I'd truly like to know. Leave a comment (or two) and explain thyself!

I find I'm much more consistent with blogging than I ever was with keeping a handwritten journal. I suppose it's the convenience of it. I do wonder sometimes how personal to get in a blog, knowing that other people read it. At least with a handwritten journal, you can write whatever you want since no one will read it.

I blog because no one else over here will listen to what I have to say... (fools!) I figure SOMEONE out in the ol' blogger will take some interest...

I actually blog for one of the reasons you mentioned in your post.

"by blogging I kinda feel like this is a place I can come (& sorta) feel like I belong and am a part of something."

It is sort of a dumping ground, where I also get to connect with like-minded individuals :).

All GREAT reasons! Looks like for the most part (& probably other bloggers) we're all here for basically the same reasons. I think I'm in pretty good company even though we'll all probably pretty much remain anonymous.

Who knows, perhaps one day we'll all get together for some strange kind of reunion. Stranger things HAVE happend!

I agree Cate. I don't wish to air my (very) dirty laundry here, yet it's MY blog so why should I hold back. I'm somewhat anonoymous, although I guess regardless, there is a fine line of TMI!

Stef- Although I can ocassionally be a fool (on a hill) I always want to hear what you have to say, unless of course it's something I don't want to to hear you say! ;^)

Z- We appear to be like minded! Ain't we GREAT!

Great question to ponder, Wolfe.
I agree with you and Zany on the way blogs help you connect with other like-minded people. I find it refreshing that there are other people who will actually read my rants about junk that most people I know would not want to hear about. I also agree with Cate's point about how convenient it is. With our tech-savvy generation on the rise, I find it very difficult to keep a handwritten journal.
For me, I enjoy blogging because of my hobby of writing. With a blog, I can work on my writing while having the freedom to ponder any topic I choose and receive feedback from others. And, I am able to release my convoluted thoughts in a clearer way.

Same reasons as you.
And also I like getting feedback on everything. It makes me feel loved somehow. (?)

I like to do film reviews, and it's kind of an outlet for me on other things that I like to write about.

Things have been busy here--Darwin is good; the tube is out!

WV = volert is this being violently alert?

CTW360- I agree w/you as well. You guy's are explaining it MUCH better than I did.

Maria, how could a burnin' heart of passion & desire not be loved?!

I like the reviews as well, I just wish I could convey that better than I do.

I'm glad Darwin is well. I hope he's evolving-Get it?!
;^)

"Tube is out"- TV?

Very good WV- I'm impressed!

Comment deleted drives me nutz! It's like telling a joke, but refusing to reveal the punch-line! It's like danglin' a carrot for crap sake!

I'm not obsessing am I?! :-)

For about a month, Darwin had a feeding tube, but he's doing much better now, frolicking and playing.

GOOD to hear G! I hope your frolicking & playing as well! :-)

Yep, I watched the entire Academy Awards last night! All FOUR hours of it! Ugh... I got little sleep, but who cares. Once a year doesn't hurt, right?

As for Pushing Daisies... tis cancelled. I don't know many more details except that I am PISSED OFF! That was MY kind of show! So unique! How DARE they?!

*is calmed down* They will probably have some episodes here and there on the 2nd season DVD release explaining what happens to Ned and the gang.

At least they better...

I watched the awards as well, start to finish. Enjoyable for the most part. That sucks about PD, but I called it. If, & I hope they do, release a 2nd season set, I hope all the episodes were completed.

That was a mean thing to do Ms. Stefany- How could you be so spiteful? Most people get to know me first. Your an evil, evil, girl & not to be trusted! That's why I like you so much !
