Wut The Feck?!

I've been swearing like a military truck driver, driving into a coal mine, all the while spittin' tobacco! It seems to be getting worse every year. I'm far from a puritan prude, but I'm not a big fan of it, although I realize it has it's place. Especially if you accidentally cut off a finger or two with a chainsaw!

I realize some of it comes from my work environment. Being surrounded by so much testosterone. Men whose primary form of communication is weaving a complex tapestry of profanity that keeps them warm. Another essential ingredient I'm sure, is a bit of anger. I wouldn't exactly call myself a hothead, but I tend to have a low patience threshold. Hey, if I wanted patience I woulda went to med school! I'll admit to being a bit of a hypocrite when it comes to swearing. I'm workin' on it.

Anyone out there in cyberland have any constructive advice? If not then Fark yew! Jus' kiddin'-Really!

Ugh, you should hear me in the mornings when I have to get up for work...

By the way, I'm pretty sarcastic. When I said, "shame on you" and "sigh" it wasn't meant to be taken seriously. I WAS being serious, though, when I told you about the apartment...

Hmmm, it's hard being sarcastic on the blogger, isn't it? I should remember this...

swearing is far better than actually getting violent; there are worse things you could be doing

if you're trying to break the swearing habit, you could always go for the ol' put money in a jar every time you slip up and then donate the money; works for lots of people

I don' think there's anything wrong with cursing - as long as your're with people who appreciate cursing. I think it's a good way to unload hostility or get a good laugh. Maybe it's bothering you because the more you swear, the easier it gets and you don't want to be like that truck driver. Hey, my brother-in-law is a truck driver!

Stef, Perhaps (or not) we'll meet one day & have a "sarcastic off" face to face, however be warned, I shall triumph!

PS- I forgive you! ;^]

Cate, I'm all for giving to charity which I occassionally do, however if I did that, I'd NEVER have any lunch money.

Mayhaps I shall create the "Wolfe Fund"

Oh TJ- Your ALWAYS supportive! Perhaps I should start hangin' w/your Bro-in-law............or not! Probably not. I'd absolutely love to hear you swear. It would be both shocking & cool. I'd probably throw a bit of awe in there as well.

I've cut down on the swearing by replacing them with more benign, funnier words that sound a bit hillybilly (which makes me laugh more)
